About Laurel Street Chiropractic & Rehab
Our Philosophy
At Laurel Street Chiropractic & Rehab, we believe in treating our patients the way we want to be treated: with honesty, respect and integrity. We strive to help you get out of your acute phase of pain and provide the education you need to understand how your body ended up in this condition, and what you can do to prevent future problems.
Our Mission Statement
Our team is here to provide an amazing experience and to help empower you – the patient. Our success is dependent upon your success, and we strive to empower our patients to achieve their goals and return to doing what Alaskans love to do! Our treatment plans are focused on each patient’s specific needs and goals. If you are in Anchorage and looking to not only treat your symptoms, but to find the root cause of your pain, Laurel Street Chiropractic & Rehab is here to guide you on your journey to a happy and healthy life.
Neurologically Based Care
With decades of experience, our chiropractors offer care that goes far beyond simple pain relief. By identifying the underlying cause of your pain and correcting it at its source, we aim to restore proper function to your nervous system—and when your nervous system works as it should, the rest of your body can move and function the way it’s supposed to.
We take the time to listen and understand what’s going on with your health, so we can create a personalized care plan to help you meet your goals. Our entire staff is helpful and compassionate, and we’re invested in your long-term wellness.
Serving the Community
Dr. Rob took over this practice from a retiring doctor in 2012, and he and Dr. Colby Smith love to keep people in our tight-knit community feeling and functioning their best. Prior to settling down in Anchorage, Dr. Rob had his own practices in his native New Zealand and in Arizona.
Many of our patients are amazed at the wide variety of health conditions that our research-based care can help them overcome. One of our favorite success stories involves a patient at her wit’s end with chronic regional pain syndrome, which had caused her to lose the use of her left hand. After trying every medication available, she came to us. It was not a quick fix, but with regular care, she regained full use of her hand.
